This design is unique and rare. The top is designed in a trapezium shape to lessen wind force on the tower. It was designed by Kohn Pedersen Fox Associates, an American firm. 


The building was constructed for a long time. After 11 years that the construction begins, it ends and was opened in the same year, 2008. In that year, it was the second-tallest structure in the world in 2024. 


Now, it is the 10th among tallest buildings in the world in 2023. It is a mix-used building, consisting of offices, shopping malls, hotels, conference rooms, observation decks, and conference rooms.

Due to its shape, the upper floor has a larger floor area. The highest floors which are 105th to 108th floor have a trumpet-shaped structure that is not connected to the exterior shell. 


The building was proposed in 2012, the construction started in 2013 and end in 2018. Most of the floors in the super-rise building are for offices.

One World Trade Center is the tallest building in United states and among the tallest in the world.

2. Shanghai Tower

It has a green design; it can twist at an angle of 120 degrees. This enables Shanghai Tower to reduce the wind load by 24%. And with this, less steel of about 25% are used, for the construction of the building. 


It is the earth's super high-rise building. Each of the nine structures has features such as retail space, atrium, Cafes, and gardens. 


Furthermore, it includes the highest hotel in the world which is an international hotel at the 84th and 110th floor. The tower can conveniently occupy 16,000 people at a time. The skyscraper’s construction took place for 7 years, from November 2008 to September 2015.
