The supertall building is situated in Pudong district, opposite the 88-story Jin Mao Tower. Its peak shape is like an opener, from distance; you may feel like grabbing it and using it to open your bottle. This design is unique and rare. The top is designed in a trapezium shape to lessen wind force on the tower. 


It was designed by Kohn Pedersen Fox Associates, an American firm. The building was constructed for a long time. After 11 years that the construction begins, it ends and was opened in the same year, 2008. In that year, it was the second-tallest structure in the world. Now, it is the 10th among tallest buildings in the world in 2022. 


It is a mix-used building, consisting of offices, shopping malls, hotels, conference rooms, observation decks, and conference rooms. The 97th floor is the sightseeing Flyover, you will feel like you are strolling in the sky and can touch the blue sky and white cloud since the open roof is glass. That is amazing!

 


9. TAIPEI 101

The tower is also known as China Zun Tower. It has a unique design. The structure was designed by KPF Farrell. It is one out of the tallest buildings in the world in 2022. The frame design resembles ceremony vessels of China called Zun. Due to its shape, the upper floor has a larger floor area. 


The highest floors which are 105th to 108th floor have a trumpet-shaped structure that is not connected to the exterior shell. The building was proposed in 2012, the construction started in 2013 and end in 2018. Most of the floors in the super-rise building are for offices. 


In addition to that, there are an observational deck and a conference center. It is where the CITIC Group and CITIC Bank headquarters reside. The tower is divided into 7 zones; the zones are according to their functions.

 


7. Guangzhou CTF Finance

CTBUH describes the skyscraper as the "world's tallest application of terracotta". This is because it has many advantages which include provision for corrosion resistance, sunshade, and it reduces energy needs.



7. Tianjin CTF Finance Centre

6. One World Trade Center  

One World Trade Center is the tallest building in United states and among the tallest in the world.

3. Makkah Royal Clock Tower

The tower is also referred to as Abraj Al-Bait Towers. The building consists of 7 towers. From the beginning to the end, the construction takes 6 years to complete. It is the world's tallest clock tower with the biggest face clock as well. 


You can watch its giant face clock 17 km away. The building covers a large area of 1,500,000 sq m. The structure provides a lunar observation area and museum. Moreover, the building serves as a residential place and hotel.

2. Shanghai Tower

It is the second world's tallest building in 2022, but by the height of useable floors, it is the highest. Its deck is the highest for observation on the 121st floor. It has the world speediest elevator at the speed of 45.9 mph (74 km/h), so no worries about the long trip to the upper part of the building. 





It has a green design; it can twist at an angle of 120 degrees. This enables Shanghai Tower to reduce the wind load by 24%. And with this, less steel of about 25% are used, for the construction of the building. It is the earth's super high-rise building. Each of the nine structures has features such as retail space, atrium, Cafes, and gardens. 


Furthermore, it includes the highest hotel in the world which is an international hotel at the 84th and 110th floor. The tower can conveniently occupy 16,000 people at a time. The skyscraper’s construction took place for 7 years, from November 2008 to September 2015.

From 95 kilometers away, you can see the tip of the building. 55,000 tons of steel bar and 110,000 tons of concrete were used to complete the superstructure. 


The construction of the structure began in 2004 and was completed six years after. It is a multifunctional building; there are office spaces there, restaurants, hotels, and residential apartments.
