1. Danyang–Kunshan Grand Bridge - The Longest Bridge in the World

Total length: 102.4 miles (164.8 km, 164,805.4 meters, 540,700 ft)
Height: 100 ft (30 meters)
Location: province of Jiangsu, China
Officially opened: 2011
Construction cost: $8.5 billion ( $51 million per kilometer)
It is a strong bridge with a new level, designed to withstand 300,000-ton naval vessels, magnitude 8 earthquakes, and typhoons. This bridge is among the Beijing-Shanghai High-Speed Railway.
The construction of this bridge has reduced the time it once took to travel from Ningbo to Jiaxing by public transportation, from four and a half hours to only two hours.
Amazingly, the construction has also developed a personality of its own and is now somewhat of a destination for visitors to the area as the bridge is fascinating to behold.
The construction of the bridge started in 2006 and it took four years but was officially opened the following year. Around 10,000 people work on the bridge.
2. Changhua-Kaohsiung Viaduct

Location: Changhua County to Kaohsiung, Taiwan

This bridge is a railway line and part of the Taiwan High-Speed Rail network. It has carried hundreds of millions of people since the time it was opened. The bridge is constructed on fault lines.
For this, it is constructed on an extensive network of viaducts which will help in resisting earthquakes, allowing for safe train stops during a major earthquake and for easy repairing of any damage after a strong earthquake that may occur.
3. Tianjin Grande Bridge

It is a railway viaduct bridge not too far from Tianjin's skyscrapers. To prevent building multiple separate bridges joined together to cross highways and railroads, the elevated track's design was implemented.
This also helps in reducing the construction duration. And less land area was used; the bridge only use 10.9 hectares which ought to require 28.4 hectares.

At the time it was completed, it was the longest bridge, but in 2024, it is the fifth among the longest bridges in the world. The construction of the bridge involves more than 10,000 workers.

9. Jiaozhou Bay Bridge

It is a T- shape bridge also referred to as Qingdao Haiwan Bridge and it is part of the Jiaozhou Bay Connection Project which makes it have the long length mentioned above.
About 16.1 miles (25.9 km) part of the bridge is over water in the aggregate of three legs. This makes it hold the record of being the longest bridge in the world over water in 2024.
It is designed using a cable-stayed bridge and a Self-anchored suspension bridge. With the bridge, the time used in traveling between Qingdao and Huangdao was reduced by 19 miles (30 kilometers).
It is constructed in a way that can withstand a collision with ships, typhoons, and earthquakes. This bridge is supported by 5,238 individual concrete piles. Around 2.3 million cubic meters and 450,000 tons of steel were used.
10. Metro Manila Skyway System (MMSS)

One is longer than the other, the longer one is the total length mentioned above. This bridge previously hold the record of being the longest bridge in the world over water not until the construction of Jiaozhou Bay Bridge in China was completed in 2011.
However, according to the Guinness world record, Jiaozhou Bay Bridge is now the longest bridge over water (aggregate) while Lake Pontchartrain Causeway now is the longest bridge over water (continuous).
12. Line 1 of Wuhan Metro

It is an elevated metro line and it is one out of the longest bridges in the world and of course the longest continuous metro viaduct.
It is China's first Metro line. People do experience a lot of traffic congestion on the Yangtze River bridge, so it is built purposely to ease the traffic.
The bridge actually start to operate in September 2004. Wuhan Metro Group manages the high-speed light rail project in order to produce safe and dependable transport.
13. Manchac Swamp Bridge

It is also referred to as I-55 Manchac Swamp Crossing. It is an amazing twin concrete trestle bridge and it is one of the longest bridges in the world over water.
The piles of the bridge is very deep, and it is 76 meters (250 feet) below the swamp. A third of the highway's approximately 66 miles (106 km) of this bridge is in Louisiana. In this state, this bridge carries U.S. Route 51 and Interstate 55.
14. Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Skyway (MBZ Skyway)

From the Jakarta-Cikampek II (Elevated) Toll Road, the Indonesian government officially designated Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Skyway as the name of this flyover.
Within the Greater Jakarta area, there is a lot of traffic congestion, the construction of this bridge helped ease the congestion and the Jakarta–Cikampek toll road as well feels less burden.
It is one of the longest flyovers in the world and certainly the longest in Indonesia. On the present Jakarta–Cikampek Toll Road, this bridge passes some of its sections.

The main link out of this bridges is also known as the Sheikh Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah Causeway Main Link, Main Causeway or the Subiyah connection in which its total length is mentioned above.
When all the other bridges including the main link bridge are combined together, it span is a total length of 48.5 kilometers (30.1 miles).
This main link is part of the Sheikh Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah Causeway and one of the top 20 longest bridges in the world today. It is designed as a cable-stayed bridge with a 200m span and an arc pylon and it is a marine bridge connection.
